A second workshop in line with a project prepared for the 49th anniversary of the 1974 Turkish Peace Operation and the 60th anniversary of Bayrak Radio Television Corporation has been realized.
Within the scope of the project prepared with the theme “Peace at Bayrak,” various communication tools and equipment that have been stored in the institution’s archives and warehouses are being artistically revived through the concept of recycling.
The project launched by Bayrak Radio Television Corporation under the sponsorship of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment and Telsim, under the theme “Peace at Bayrak” is continuing.
Academics, artists and students from across the country have been taking part in the project which prioritizes recycling and productivity.
The opening of the exhibition, which will showcase the artworks created as a result of the one-month-long work, will take place at the corporation on July 19, which is also the date that BRTK launched its first television broadcasts.
BRT Director Meryem Özkurt also emphasized the importance of Atatürk’s moto, “Peace at Home, Peace in the World,” stating that Bayrak Radio Television has always reflected society by prioritizing recycling and productivity.
Özkurt stated that today’s technology is constantly changing and that tools and equipment needed to be adapted to present-day conditions and that BRTK is the bridge between the past and the future.
