Ataoğlu attends the World Travel Market Tourism Fair in London

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu said that they expect more tourists from Türkiye and Europe in 2024 due to the intensive work carried out.

Ataoğlu, who attended the “World Travel Market” Tourism Fair in London, met with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Tourism Kanan Gasimov.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu attended the “World Travel Market” Tourism Fair in London, where tourism in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is being promoted.

Ataoğlu met with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Turkish Ambassador to London Osman Koray Ertaş who visited the TRNC stand and evaluated the tourism policies and new projects carried out between the two countries.

Ataoğlu also met with Azerbaijan Deputy Minister of Tourism Kanan Gasimov at the TRNC stand and held a meeting.

Ataoğlu stated that they will be working together on a variety of projects with Azerbaijan in the near future.

Referring to the country’s tourism sector, Ataoğlu said that they will use new promotional films and new marketing methods with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the UK market, which they attach great importance to.

Explaining that the TRNC destination was promoted with a promotional event held at Westfield Shopping Centre a few weeks ago, Ataoğlu emphasized that this will be beneficial for 2024.

He also noted that 1 large-bodied aircraft will arrive in the TRNC every day and this move will provide serious benefits to the tourism sector.

Ataoğlu said that they are also in talks with new airline companies and that there may be new developments in the near future.
