Ataoğlu holds contacts in Ankara

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu who is holding a variety of contacts in the Turkish capital Ankara, met with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.

During the meeting, economy, tourism and environmental issues as well as the latest political developments in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) were discussed.

Ataoğlu also met with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and with his Turkish counterpart Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

During his meeting with Ersoy, issues such as the development of alternative tourism activities, diversification of promotional and marketing activities and the creation of new brand destinations were discussed.

Speaking after the meeting, Minister Ataoğlu underlined that the Republic of Türkiye unconditionally stands by the TRNC in tourism, as in every field, and said, “We have a common goal which is to bring the TRNC’s tourism to the level it deserves”.

For his part Turkish Minister Ersoy said that it was their hope that the TRNC was able to gain its share of the tourism sector and promote its cultural heritage to the world.
