North Cyprus is being promoted in Izmir.
As part of its promotion and marketing activities, the office of the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism Culture Youth and Environment is participating in the Travel Türkiye İzmir International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress, which opened its doors on Thursday.
Tourism professionals came together for the 18th time at the Travel Türkiye Izmir International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress.
Deputy Prime Minister Tourism Culture Youth and Environment Minister Fikri Ataoğlu is also attending the fair.
Delivering a speech at the fair, Minister Ataoğlu gave detailed information about tourism in North Cyprus and said that they created a new tourism brand under the name of ‘Island Cyprus’ and thus highlighted the cultural and gastronomic aspects of North Cyprus all over Anatolia.
Referring to the cooperation between the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies and the Association of Turkish Cypriot Tourism and Travel Agencies, Ataoğlu stated that they support the activities of these two associations.
He explained that Sun Express Airlines has launched flights to Izmir, Antalya and Adana, adding that Sun Express is working to provide tourist flow from Europe to North Cyprus in the near future and that they are cooperating in this regard.
Stating that in 2025, they aim to give incentives to planes to be brought from different countries with charter flights, Ataoğlu said that they have carried out many studies that will contribute to the tourism of the country and through these studies have increased the number of tourists every year.
Noting that alternative tourism models are constantly increasing, Ataoğlu invited everyone to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
