Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, and leader of the Democrat Party (DP) Fikri Ataoğlu issued a message on the 40th anniversary of the death of Dr. Fazıl Küçük.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, and DP leader Fikri Ataoğlu expressed the following in his message on the 40th anniversary of Dr. Fazıl Küçük’s death:
“Today marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Dr. Fazıl Küçük, known for his fighting spirit and leadership. He was a significant figure in the struggle for independence and freedom of the Turkish Cypriot people and continues to live on in our hearts today,” he said.
He said that Küçük defended the rights of the Turkish Cypriot people with his patriotism, determination, and leadership qualities, leading the existential struggle.
“Today, we remember with respect and gratitude this great leader, whose foundations were laid for the existence of the TRNC. His legacy should remind us of the need for unity and solidarity among the Turkish Cypriot people. By remaining faithful to the values left to us by Dr. Fazıl Küçük, we will continue to progress towards a brighter future in unity,” the message read.
“Understanding the significance and importance of today, I wish for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to move towards a brighter future in unity and solidarity,” Ataoğlu concluded his message.
