Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, who met with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy within the framework of the EMITT Tourism Fair, said that tourism figures for 2023 will exceed their targets.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu on Thursday met with the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and his accompanying delegation at the EMITT Tourism Fair held in Istanbul.
Speaking there, Minister Ataoğlu said that there was a feel of uneasiness in the sector following the earthquake disaster, but that 2023 will go as planned without any loss with the support of Türkiye.
Pointing out that Minister Ersoy had given instructions for the extension of promotions made by the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency for another month, Ataoğlu noted that they will continue with more promotional videos and marketing activities in the coming period.
He also pointed out that the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism will continue to provide support to direct more tour operators to the country after the opening of the new Ercan Airport.
“We will exceed our targets for 2023,” Ataoğlu said.
Noting that there was talk about projects in the field of culture, Ataoğlu explained that joint plans were made to increase cultural activities both between TURKSOY and between the two countries.
Minister Ataoğlu also visited the stands of many agencies, hoteliers and tourism stakeholders participating in the EMITT Fair from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
