Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism Culture Youth and Environment Firki Ataoğlu took part on a program on BRT today and spoke on the ministry’s efforts to increase tourism in the Turkish Republic of Northern.
He said that their goal was to attract more tourists from Türkiye.
Ataoğlu spoke about the “Island Cyprus” promotional event that is taking place this evening and said that they aim to attract more tourists from Türkiye.
He said that they aim to increase the number of flights to and from the TRNC and spoke about the ongoing work of the ministry in finding new carriers and lowering airfare prices.
He also said that new areas need to be allocated in order for new hotels to be built in the country adding that work is being carried out towards this end.
Ataoglu also pointed to the need of swiftly passing legislation regulating Airbnbs in the TRNC in order to record the number of tourists coming to and from the country as well as register revenues.
