Accordingly, inflation increased by 64.75 per cent compared to the same month of the previous year.
While the average prices of 440 items in the index changed, the prices of 359 items increased and 81 items decreased.
In August, the highest price increase by main expenditure groups was realized in the dining and hotel accommodation group with 5.25 percent.
On the other hand, there was a 2.77 per cent decrease in the clothing and footwear group.
The highest price increase was in eggplant with 137.31 per cent, while the highest price decrease was in green beans with 31.45 per cent.
