Bayrak Radio Television Corporation is marking the 60th anniversary of its establishment.

On December 25, 1963, exactly 60 years have passed since the first broadcast was made from the radio with the announcement “Bayrak…Bayrak…Bayrak…”

Within the framework of the celebrations, Bayrak Radio broadcasted in front of the Post Office in Lefkoşa, where it had continued its broadcasts for many years.

The 60th anniversary of the establishment of Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRT) is being celebrated with a variety of events.

Within the framework of its 60th anniversary activities, the Bayrak Radio team addressed its listeners in front of the Post Office with live broadcasts on Tuesday.

The broadcast, which started in the morning in front of the Post Office, the historical building where Bayrak Radio first made its voice heard, continued until 4pm.

BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt participated in the live radio broadcast in front of the Post Office and addressed the listeners.

Former politician Serdar Denktaş and his band also took to the stage at the event.
