Before the Traces are Erased…

A photograph exhibition documenting the traces of Ottoman-Turkish artefacts that remain in South Cyprus will be opened in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye on Thursday.

The inauguration of the photograph exhibition titled “Before the Traces are Erased,” which will take place at the Service Building of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye in Ankara at 7pm local time, will be opened by President Ersin Tatar and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.

The exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and the Union of Turkish Cypriot Municipalities with the aim of documenting the traces of Ottoman-Turkish monuments that remain in South Cyprus before they disappear.

In addition to President Tatar and Turkish Vice President Yılmaz, mayors from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Türkiye and the artists who photographed the artefacts will also participate in the photo exhibition.
