Berat Kandil, also known as Lailet el Barat in Islam, will be observed on Monday evening.

Lailet el Barat or Berat Kandil in Turkish commemorates the entry of Muhammad into the city of Mecca.

Muslims believe that on Lailet el Barat God writes the destinies of all for the coming year by taking into account the deeds committed by them in the past.

It is considered as one of the holiest nights in the Islamic calendar.
