A founding member of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and its first leader Ahmet Mithat Berberoğlu was commemorated on Thursday with a ceremony on the 22nd anniversary of his death.
Speaking at the ceremony held at his gravesite in Karaoğlanoğlu Cemetery, CTP leader Tufan Erhürman said that they were once again remembering Berberoğlu with respect and love, emphasizing that Berberoğlu and his companions’ ideas continue to guide the CTP, and their efforts will never be forgotten.
Following the speeches, those attending the ceremony left carnations at Berberoğlu’s grave.
