Berova in Ankara

Minister of Finance Özdemir Berova is continuing with his contacts in Türkiye’s capital Ankara.

Within the framework of his contacts, Minister Berova met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce Gürsel Baran.

Speaking during the visit Berova stated that they carried out their Ankara contacts with a crowded delegation and emphasized that they want to develop and grow the economy and trade of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and are working to achieve this.

“Economy is the main vein of a country. The main source of public finance is mobility in economy and trade. A strong public finance means that a country makes its investments in the right areas and in a strong way” said Berova.

Emphasizing that Motherland Türkiye and the TRNC are two inseparable parts of a nation, Berova said “Our biggest trade partner is Türkiye. We are working in cooperation to further develop this.”

“At the same time, we are trying to take our place in the great Turkish Nation. With the support of Türkiye, we have started to find a place for ourselves especially in the Turkic States. This makes us extremely happy” said Berova

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ankara Chamber of Commerce Gürsel Baran in his speech said “This is your own home. Türkiye always supports the TRNC and the Turkish Cypriot people in economic and social terms. We are always ready to do whatever is necessary”.

He noted that as Ankara Chamber of Commerce, they are also in contact with the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and stated that they can work together to improve the exports of the TRNC.

Meanwhile the Minister of Finance Berova also attended the reception held for the 80th General Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye.

According to the statement made by the Ministry, the reception was held at ATO Congresium.
