10th Beyarmudu Potato, Culture and Arts Festival and the 7th Beyarmudu Folk Dance Festival began last night. (Thursday)

The festival organised by the Beyarmudu Municipality for the 10th time after a five year hiatus, was realized at the village center and will come to an end on Sunday.

During the festival local goods and products are all on sale.

Local bands will also perform throughout the festival.

Speaking at the opening of the festival, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said they recently established a health centre in the region, and now they are working to ease the Beyarmudu Land Border crossing.

He emphasized that they will continue to do all they can for the welfare of the people of the region.
