The Book and Production Festival, organized in collaboration between Gazimağusa Municipality and the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, has officially started in Gazimağusa.

The festival, which embraces the theme of “Resisting Through Production,” will run until October 27.

In his opening speech, Hürrem Tulga, President of the Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, emphasized the necessity for the Turkish Cypriot people to continue producing in all aspects.

“We will exist as long as we produce,” Tulga stated, highlighting the importance of passing down each creation to future generations through unity and solidarity.

Gazimağusa Municipality Council Member Hüseyin Aranır also spoke at the event, emphasizing the municipality’s renewed focus on cultural and artistic activities.

He expressed his satisfaction with the success of joint efforts achieved through community collaboration.

The festival features a range of activities, including exhibitions from the Cyprus Turkish Cartoonists Association, concerts, poetry readings, book presentations, film screenings, and panel discussions. Held at Bandabuliya from October 24-27, the event also offers discounted book sales for attendees.
