The appointment decisions for 187 generals and admirals serving in the Turkish Armed Forces, including the Land, Naval, and Air Forces commands, have been published.
According to the decisions published in the Official Gazette with the signature of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 117 generals serving within the Land Forces Command have been appointed.
The decree also led to changes in three army commands and alterations in four other army commands.
The Commander of the Security Forces Command (GKK) in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has also changed.
İlker Görgülü, the Director of the Land Forces Institute, has been appointed as the new Commander of the Security Forces.
Brigadier General Osman Aytaç, who held this position, has been reassigned to the centre and is now the Chief of Inspection and Evaluation at the Land Forces Command.
