British MP calls for direct flights

A direct flight call has been made by a British Member of Parliament.

Iain Duncan Smith, a Member of Parliament from the ruling Conservative Party, called for the organization of direct flights from the United Kingdom to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), stating that he will continue to discuss this matter with the government.

Iain Duncan Smith, a Member of Parliament from the ruling Conservative Party in the UK, in a video message addressed to the Turkish Cypriot community as part of the 6th Turkish Cypriot Cultural Festival held in London, made a call for the launch of direct flights to the TRNC.

In his message, MP Duncan Smith pointed out that Turkish Cypriots living in the UK were unable to travel to the TRNC directly by air and called for the initiation of direct flights to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

“I will continue to discuss with the government to see if we can solve this very simple issue, and we should try to do it,” he said.
