Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) and Arkın Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) have signed a cooperation protocol to strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate knowledge and experience exchange in scientific, educational, and social fields.
BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt and ARUCAD Rector Asım Vehbi signed the agreement during a ceremony.
Speaking before the signing, BRT Director Meryem Özkurt highlighted the significance of collaborating with ARUCAD, the TRNC’s first arts university.
She expressed hope for joint projects and noted the potential contributions of ARUCAD’s future communication professionals to BRTK’s growth.
Rector Vehbi emphasized the importance of implementing the protocol to benefit future generations.
He praised BRTK’s historical and cultural impact on the Turkish Cypriot community, describing the agreement as both an honor and a source of pride.
The protocol aims to foster joint initiatives in media production, enhance collaboration opportunities, and promote professional, administrative, and educational cooperation between BRTK and ARUCAD staff.
It includes provisions for ARUCAD to offer free in-service training courses to BRTK staff in designated fields. Additionally, ARUCAD faculty members will be encouraged to participate in BRTK’s television and radio programs according to their areas of expertise.
