Students from the Girne American University’s Faculty of Communications paid a visit to Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) this morning.

During the visit, Bayrak Radio Television Corporation Director Meryem Özkurt welcomed the Faculty of Communication students that were led by the Dean of the Faculty of Communications Associate Professor Dr. Neriman Saygılı, and the Head of the Press and Broadcasting Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Muharrem Özdemir.

BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt informed students regarding the history of BRTK and how Bayrak Radio started broadcasting.

She spoke about the developments that have taken place at the corporation since its establishment and stated that BRT conveys the voice of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to everywhere in the world through the “North Cyprus SmartTV” application that can be downloaded to smart TV’s and phones.
