President Ersin Tatar received a group of businesspeople from Kocaeli on Monday.

Speaking during the visit, the President said that the strengthening of the historic and strong ties with Türkiye and the increase in cooperation provided important support to the struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people.

President Ersin Tatar received a delegation on Monday from the Kocaeli Entrepreneurial Businessmen Association, chaired by Aydın Burgul.

Speaking during the visit, Tatar said that he was happy to see successful business people in the TRNC and added that it was pleasing to have such visits from every region of Türkiye.

The president said that the increase in cooperation with Türkiye provided significant support to their struggle.

Pointing out that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), a Turkic state, was getting stronger by the day, he noted that the Turkish Cypriot people had the right to determine their own future as a separate people after 60 years of failed attempts to reach a partnership agreement on the island.

Pointing to the importance of the continuation of Türkiye’s guarantees and the presence of the Turkish Armed Forces as a deterrent force on the island, President Tatar highlighted the importance of Türkiye’s support for the Turkish Cypriot people’s struggle for existence.

The President of the Kocaeli Entrepreneurial Businessmen Association Aydın Burgul for his part said that the goal was the international recognition of the TRNC and expressed support for the struggle on this path.
