The decision to hold a by-election on June 25 for a Lefkoşa MP which became vacant after the leader of the People’s Party (HP) Kudret Özersay resigned was published in the Official Gazette on Wednesday.
The “Decision Regarding the Determination of the Voting Day for the by-election”, which was unanimously adopted in parliament on Tuesday, was approved by the President and published in the Official Gazette today (Wednesday).
The resignation of the leader of the People’s Party (HP) Kudret Özersay was unanimously accepted at an assembly meeting on June 6th 2022.
A by-election will be held on June 25, 2023 to fill the vacated position in parliament.
