Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu touched upon the Cyprus issue in his speech at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

“Registering the sovereign equality, rights and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriot people and removing the isolation and restrictions they have been subjected to, should be our common goal,” Çavuşoğlu said in his address at the council.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu spoke at the Organisation of Turkic States Foreign Ministers Council Meeting held at the Presidential Complex in the Turkish capital Ankara.

Dedicating a part of his speech to the Cyprus issue, Çavuşoğlu emphasized that it was very meaningful for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to be present at the summit as an observer member.

“The Turkish Cypriot peoples’ sovereign equality, rights and equal international status being registered and the removal of isolation and restrictions they are imposed to, should be our common goal,” reiterated Çavuşoğlu.
