The Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Ömer Çelik, stated that the symbolic significance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is very high and that Cyprus is currently the most strategic location in the world.

The Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Ömer Çelik, in his remarks to Anadolu Agency during TEKNOFEST held in Adana, announced that TEKNOFEST 2025 will be held not only in Istanbul but also in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Stressing the high symbolic significance of this event, Çelik stated that Cyprus was perhaps the most strategic location in the world right now.

“Due to both the instability in Syria and Israel’s genocidal policies, there are so many warships in the Mediterranean. It is crucial, both from a humanitarian and a confidence standpoint, to send a message from the TRNC about using technology for the benefit of humanity, in contrast to those who use it to support those who kill and the genocidal Netanyahu government” he added.
