The Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik said that the statement of the Greek Defence Minister shows that they have no will for a federal solution and that they want to swallow the whole of Cyprus.

He emphasized that this will not be possible in any way.

AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated that the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, which is one of the important stages of Cyprus, Turkish Cypriots and the Turkish Cypriot cause, was celebrated with much enthusiasm.

“The statement made by the Greek Minister of Defence once again simultaneously shows us how we should strongly protect the values behind the Peace Operation from now on,” Çelik said, adding that he repeated his past statements with the same aggression.

Çelik said, “In the face of all this, the Peace Operation not only protected the Turkish Cypriots, but also saved the Greek Cypriots from the hands of these gangs.”
