Reactions to the upcoming Netflix series ‘Famagusta’ have been coming in from political parties in Türkiye as well.

Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Spokesperson Ömer Çelik also reacted to the series by posting on his social media account.

AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik said it was very disturbing that the Greek Cypriot series “Famagusta” that distorts the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation and makes propaganda for the Greek Cypriot side will be broadcast on a movie platform starting from September 20.

Ömer Çelik made the following statements in his post: “We cannot accept that the intervention that brought peace and established justice is being targeted by Greek Cypriot propaganda. The Cyprus Peace Operation, the heroic Turkish soldiers, peace and justice cannot be targeted through this series.”
