Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that they aim to create the geographical structure of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and to increase the recognition of the geographical data belonging to the TRNC in the international arena.

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz chaired the ‘Türkiye Geographic Information System Board Meeting’.

Speaking at the meeting, Yılmaz said that they aim to establish the geographical structure of the TRNC.

“We will develop international strategic cooperation in the field of geographical information systems with friendly and brotherly countries, especially Turkic states. We also aim to establish a geographical infrastructure in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus thus increasing the recognition of the geographical data of the TRNC in the international arena,” said Yılmaz.
