The award ceremony of the 3D Design and 3D Printing Competition was held at the closing program of the CezeriFest organized by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Ankara.
5 jury members evaluated the projects and the first prize was awarded to “Cyprus – Team Techno Eul”.
CezeriFest, organized by TIKA for the first time under the theme “Design for Education”, was held in Ankara between the 9th and 12th of December.
In addition to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), participants from Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tanzania and Ukraine took part in the festival.
54 projects were presented in the 3D Design and 3D Printing Competition at the festival, where competitors developed projects that could contribute to education using three-dimensional printers.
5 jury members evaluated the projects and “Cyprus – Team Techno Eul” won the first prize, “Ukraine Team L&A” won the second prize and “Pakistan Team CTTI Islamabad” won the third prize.
The TRNC team designed experimental devices such as pendulums that will contribute to primary, secondary and high school education.
The Pakistan team created a car suspension and differential model using a 3D printer, while the Ukrainian team developed a model for three-dimensional visualization of electric current.
TIKA President Serkan Kayalar presented the winners with their awards.
In his speech, Kayalar said, “We are proud to have successfully completed the first edition of AljazariFest, which we plan to organize every year as a technology competition under certain thematic headings.
In the closing program of the festival, an exhibition of the works of the Istanbul Cezeri Museum was organized, and promotional videos of the large-scale technology laboratory Cezeri Lab and the smaller-scale Cezeri Studio were also shown.
