The Champion Angels Aras Aktuğralı Children’s Park was opened with a ceremony on Sunday.
State and government officials all attended the opening of the park in Geçitkale, which was renovated and named after Aras Aktuğralı from the Champion Angels team.
The “Champion Angels Team Aras Aktuğralı Children’s Park” in Geçitkale, renovated by the Geçitkale-Serdarlı Municipality and named after Aras Aktuğralı, was opened with a ceremony attended by President Ersin Tatar and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
Speaking here President Ersin Tatar expressed his gratitude to Mayor Halil Kasım and his team for their contribution to the park’s renovation and emphasized that the Champion Angels will always be remembered and that the fight will continue with their families.
Tatar acknowledged the pain experienced by the Turkish Cypriot people and reassured them that they are not alone.
He expressed his hope that the Isias Case, which is a common cause, will proceed as desired and justice will be served.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also thanked Mayor Kasım and his team for making the park a reality and stated that their goal is to keep the memory of the children lost in the February 6, 2023 earthquake alive.
He stressed the importance of solidarity among the Turkish Cypriot people and expressed confidence that the criminals involved in the Isias Trial will receive the appropriate punishments.
