Cost-of-living rises by 4.50% in December

The cost-of-living has gone up by 4.50 per cent in December, the Statistics Department has announced.

Annual inflation has reached 94.51 per cent.

The State Statistics Department has announced that the cost of living for the month of December has gone up by 4.50 per cent bringing annual inflation to 94.51 per cent.

While the highest rise in prices was seen in digestive medicines with 104.57 per cent, the price of broccoli experienced the sharpest drop.

While the average price of 540 goods and services went up in December, the price of 54 goods and services dropped in December.
