The main opposition Republican Turkish Party (CTP) held a reception last night to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of its establishment.

The reception was held under the slogan “This road will be walked together”.

The Republican Turkish Party celebrated its 53rd anniversary last night with a reception open to the public.

Speaking at the reception, CTP leader Tufan Erhürman said that they will continue the struggle for democracy and peace and the struggle of the people to govern themselves by standing on their own feet.

Noting that they will work towards becoming the only party in power, Erhürman said that they stand by everyone who is working so that young people don’t migrate from their country.

Also speaking at the reception, CTP General Secretary Asım Akansoy said that CTP has always kept hope alive against those who try to spread despair amongst society.

Pointing out that 53 years have not been easy, Akansoy stated that they will walk their path together with the same determination, integrating with society and embracing civil society.
