Cultural Heritage Symposium

The International Symposium on Lost Cultural Heritage will be held for the first time in Girne on February 22-23 in order to strengthen the perception of protecting cultural heritage and to draw attention to the destroyed and disappearing cultural heritage in our country.

The “International Symposium on Lost Cultural Heritage” will be held for the first time in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in cooperation with the National Archives and Research Department, Cultural Heritage Protection and Research Association and the Alashia Terracotta Art Society.

At the symposium, which will be hosted by Acapulco Hotel, solutions will be shared to reduce the deterioration and destruction of movable and immovable cultural assets with current and innovative approaches.

The symposium, which will be attended by experts from Türkiye, will feature 34 papers and workshops on different topics.

Curator Ayhatun Ateşin said, “This project is a mobilization, a turning point for our culture and the future of the participants.”
