Turkish Ambassador to Lekoşa Yasin Ekrem Serim emphasized that for the Republic of Türkiye, the Cyprus cause is not a burden but a cause of honor and pride.

Visiting the Gazimağusa Turkish Peace Forces Veterans Association, Ambassador Serim said that Türkiye has made its best contribution to the economic and social development of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and will continue to do so.

Speaking during the visit, Ambassador Serim emphasized the importance of the Cyprus Cause for Türkiye and said, “The Cyprus Cause is never a burden but a cause of honor and pride.”

He said that Türkiye both fully supports the Cyprus cause and will continue to do its best for the development of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus both economically and socially.

Serim stated that he fully supports the Cyprus cause and that the Cyprus issue has been secured by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the parliament of the Republic of Türkiye.

President of the Association Nusrettin Yuca for his part noted that veterans should be remembered not only on national days but always and thanked Ambassador Serim for his visit.
