The Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu on Monday received students from Newcastle University and Girne American University’s (GAU) Faculty of Political Sciences.

Ertuğruloğlu informed the students on the Turkish Cypriot side’s new vision and policy regarding a two-state solution in Cyprus.

He said that the Cyprus problem basically was an issue related to the statuses of the two sides and explained that the 60 years of negotiations had failed to achieve results due to the misdiagnosis and biased attitude of the international community.

Informing the students about the new vision of the Turkish Cypriot side on Cyprus, Ertuğruloğlu said that the new policy was based on the acceptance of sovereign equality and equal international status.
