The ceremony at the Cyprus Turkish Journalists Association will start at 8 this evening.

During the event, the “Media Success and Incentive Awards” and the “Service Honorary Awards” will be presented to members.

Saded newspaper, which carries the distinction of being the first Turkish-language newspaper published by a Turkish Cypriot in Cyprus, was first published by Ahmet Emin Efendi 134 years ago on July 11, 1889.

The newspaper was published weekly and had only 16 issues before it ceased publication on November 14, 1889.
