Deputy PM Ataoğlu honours healthcare workers

In a message for 14th March Medicine Day, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, and Democrat Party (DP) leader Fikri Ataoğlu expressed his deep gratitude to healthcare workers for their tireless dedication.

Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu on Friday acknowledged the great responsibility carried by healthcare workers in safeguarding human health, highlighting their knowledge, experience, and conscience as they bring healing to patients.

He emphasized, “Despite the heavy burdens and challenges of the profession, your sacrifice—putting human life above all else—is an invaluable asset to our society. With your effort and contributions, we continue to advance our healthcare services every day.”

Ataoğlu also pointed out that health is one of the most fundamental values of human life, adding, “I sincerely celebrate the 14th March Medicine Day of all healthcare workers who selflessly work day and night to protect public health and ensure every individual can live a quality life.”

Noting that healthy individuals form the foundation of a strong society, Ataoğlu reminded that health must be protected not just in hospitals but in every aspect of life.

He stressed ongoing efforts to protect the environment, ensure sustainable water resources, and maintain healthy living spaces. “Health and the environment are complementary, and it is our collective responsibility to maintain this balance for our future,” he said.
