Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, Democrat Party (DP) leader Fikri Ataoğlu issued a message in commemoration of the Great Turkish leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

In his message Ataoğlu wrote that he commemorates the great Turkish leader who was the founder of the Republic of Türkiye with respect, longing and gratitude and reminded that Atatürk was a great leader who led the Turkish nation in the struggle for freedom and independence.

“The Republic’s revolution under his leadership made Türkiye a modern, secular and democratic country,” said Ataoğlu adding that Atatürk’s principles and legacy are also important for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Emphasizing that November 10 is not only a day of remembrance, but also a day when the Turkish nation reinforces the spirit of unity and solidarity, Ataoğlu noted that while commemorating the Great Leader Atatürk, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is committed to his principles, will continue to move forward with determination towards a brighter future.
