Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu received Turkish Cypriot athlete Buse Savaşkan, who competed on behalf of Türkiye at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

While receiving Turkish Cypriot athlete Buse Savaşkan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu stated that the success achieved by the national athlete made the entire Turkish Cypriot people proud and was a great motivation for young athletes.

Stating that he followed Savaşkan’s success in the Olympics with great excitement together with the Turkish Cypriot people, Ataoğlu noted that he was proud of the success achieved by Savaşkan together with the entire Turkish Cypriot people.

Ataoğlu thanked Savaşkan, her coaches, the president and executives of the TRNC Athletics Federation and her family for making the Turkish Cypriot people and the Republic of Türkiye proud and wished her continued success.

Buse Savaşkan for her part said she was proud to represent the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and thanked everyone for their support.
