President Ersin Tatar has received a delegation from the İznik Young Businessmen’s Association.

During the meeting, President Tatar emphasized the importance of further strengthening the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as a Turkic state.

He also pointed to the importance of increasing contacts, investments, projects and studies especially in the age of communication.

President Ersin Tatar received the İznik Young Businessmen’s Association on Monday.

Speaking during the visit, President Tatar said that he was pleased to see an increase in commercial relations, tourism and cultural contacts with the Republic of Türkiye.

Pointing out that the the recognition of the TRNC was being prevented due to obstacles created by the international community, Tatar stated that despite the embargoes the TRNC was successful in attracting foreign students and tourists to the country using its own means.

“The reality of the TRNC is now accepted by the world,” said Tatar and noted that the Turkish Cypriot people continue on their way with their own state.

Also touching upon the Turkish Cypriot side’s new two-state policy based on sovereign equality, Tatar emphasized the importance of developing relations with Motherland Türkiye, and protecting the rights, law and security in the region where natural riches exist.
