The extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is being held today (Thursday) in the Turkish capital Ankara, under the theme “Disaster-Emergency Management and Humanitarian Aid”.
President Ersin Tatar is attending the summit.
The extraordinary Summit, which will convene to show solidarity with Türkiye due to the earthquake disaster on February 6th, will discuss issues regarding the development of cooperation in the fight against disasters and their effects.
The Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Turkic States that is taking place in Ankara, under the theme “Disaster-Emergency Management and Humanitarian Aid”, is being hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Attending the summit are the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Kasım Cömert Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadır Caparov and Term President and President of Uzbekistan Şevket Mirziyoyev.
Representatives of observer states, those being President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban and the National Leader of the Türkmen People Chairman of the People’s Council of Türkmenistan Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov also attended the summit.
The TRNC, which obtained observer status at the Samarkand Summit held last year, is taking part in the OTS Summit for the first time.
