The Meteorology Department has announced that heavy rain is expected in the eastern parts of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) until noon on Saturday.

According to the statement made by the Meteorology Department, between January 9 and 15 the region will be under the influence of low pressure system and cold and humid air mass.

The weather will be partly cloudy throughout the week, partly foggy tomorrow morning, and there will be showers in the eastern parts until noon on Saturday.

The highest temperature will generally hover around 18 to 21 degrees inland areas and on the coasts.

The wind will blow moderately from the North and East directions in the first days of the period and from the southern directions on the other days.
