The Democrat Party is celebrating the 31st year of its establishment.
The leader of the Democrat Party, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu issued a message in celebration of the day.
In his message Ataoğlu wrote that they welcomed the 31st anniversary of Democrat Party with great pride.
“With our deep-rooted past and strong future, the Democrat Party is an important defender of democracy in our political history” said Ataoğlu and added that since its establishment in 1992, the party has done all it can to ensure that the Turkish Cypriot people can have more freedom and democracy, noting that this has influenced the fate of the country and shaped its future.
“Our party will continue to serve the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and its people without ever leaving democracy and the principles of our founding leader Rauf Raif Denktaş” said Ataoğlu.
