Dust to continue until Wednesday

A high pressure system, coupled with warm and dry currents are affecting the region, with the Saharan dust of hazardous particles lingering in the atmosphere.

Temperatures remain well above the seasonal average, with light south-westerly to north-westerly winds, force three, over slight seas.

31 degrees Celsius inland, 27 in coastal regions and 21 on the mountains.

Temperatures will drop to around 14 degrees Celsius inland, 17 on the coasts and 12 degrees on the mountains.

Fine and warm over the next three days with temperatures remaining in the low 30s.

PM10 dust particles might cause severe discomfort to people with long term respiratory issues, heart patients, asthmatics, individuals with hypertension and children.

The dust is not expected to clear before Wednesday.
