Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu received, the representative of the Nigerian Ministry of National Education Omeh Nwokpoku and Henry Chikogu, a staff member from the Nigerian Embassy in Ankara who are in TRNC to hold talks regarding Nigerian students.

According to the ministry statement the Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu exchanged views on the situation of Nigerian students in the country and emphasized the importance of student safety and receiving quality education on the island.

Çavuşoğlu also told Nwokpoku that they are ready to do whatever is necessary to improve cooperation.

The representative of the Nigerian Ministry of National Education Nwokpoku for his part stated that they would like to cooperate better in terms of both safety and welfare of the students who will come to the island and that they received information about the accreditation of universities within the framework of their visit.

He also expressed his view that North Cyprus is a country where good education opportunities exist.
