Congratulations continue to pour in for Ziya Öztürkler, who was elected as Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly.

The Chairman of the Türkiye-TRNC Friendship Group in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Orhan Erdem; the Chairman of the Azerbaijan-TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Azerbaijani National Assembly, Cavanşir Feyziyev; and the Chairman of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship Group, Şamil Ayrım called Speaker Ziya Öztürkler to congratulate him on his election.

During the calls, the importance of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) acting under the motto “three states, one nation” was stressed, as well as the close bonds of friendship and brotherhood that tightly connect the parliaments of the three countries.

In the discussions, it was stated that cooperation would continue for the international representation of the Republic’s Assembly, particularly through the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States in the new term.

It was also stressed that the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the Azerbaijani National Assembly stood firmly with the Turkish Cypriot people.

Erdem, Feyziyev, and Ayrım wished Parliamentary Speaker Ziya Öztürkler success in his role.
