Erhürman and Özersay attend crisis desk meeting at presidency

President Ersin Tatar invited the leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Tufan Erhürman and the leader of the People’s Party (HP) Kudret Özersay to attend the Crisis and Coordination Committee meetings taking place at the presidency and informed them regarding the efforts that are being carried out.

Tatar pointed to the importance of exchanging views during such troubled times.

The leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Tufan Erhürman and the leader of the People’s Party (HP) Kudret Özersay were invited to attend the Crisis and Coordination Committee meetings and received information about the search and rescue efforts.

The Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu was also present during the meeting.

Speaking during the meeting President Ersin Tatar stated that a reinforcement team was sent to Adıyaman to participate in the ongoing search and rescue efforts, but that no results have yet been reached.

Speaking during the visit CTP leader Erhürman stated that they want to get involved in the aid and coordination activities and that they share Türkiye’s pain.

Kudret Özersay for his part also stated that they share Türkiye’s pain and that they were ready to contribute to the coordination efforts in order to save the children who are waiting to be rescued.

The Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu for his part thanked the TRNC government, all political parties and municipalities for their devoted contribution and search and rescue efforts initiated after the earthquake disaster in Türkiye.

Ambassador Feyzioğlu noted that the teams are already working with all their strength with the help of cranes and construction equipment at Grand Isias in Adıyaman.

Feyzioğlu also said that financial aid for the earthquake is more meaningful at the moment and asked everyone who would like to make a donation to do so through the AFAD accounts.
