The leader of the main opposition Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Tufan Erhürman said that whatever the verdict of the Isias case, the children would not come back and that the fact that the hotel owner had an office and a room in the hotel made the process closer to conscious negligence.

The leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Tufan Erhürman made a statement prior to the beginning of today’s hearing at Adıyamn.

He said “This is our 6th visit and we are uneasy.”

“There will probably be a decision. The fact that the hotel owner’s office was there made the process closer to conscious negligence. The fact that he said ‘I and my grandchildren and children would have stayed at the hotel’, will this state of recklessness actually turn into a reduction in the sentence? This is the part that the sense of justice and conscience cannot bear. Whatever the verdict, our children will not come back. This case is for the sake of preventing other children from going through the same thing” said Erhürman.

“We will be here until this case is finalized. There is still the appeal. I hope there will be a result here that will respond to the pain of the families” he concluded.
