A series of events are being held to help boost the morale of children from earthquake hit areas in Türkiye who are temporarily seeking refuge in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

The second of the events being carried out under the auspices of the Turkish Embassy in Lefkoşa, the Cyprus Turkish Vakıflar Administration, the Evkaf Volunteers for Kindness and the Yunus Emre Institute was held in Lefkoşa on Sunday.

Face painting, workshops and various street games were organized for children at the event held at the monastery courtyard in Güzelyurt on Sunday afternoon.

Children were handed out snacks and gifts by the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu.

Metin Feyzioğlu, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa, also thanked the Turkish Cypriot people who embraced the earthquake victims in this difficult time.

Similar events will be held at the Gazimağusa Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) on March 18, and at Girne Peace Park on March 19.
