The fourth hearing in the Isias Hotel case, held at the 3rd High Criminal Court of Adıyaman, took place on Tuesday, and the interim decision was announced.
The next hearing is scheduled for December 3, and the detention of the three suspects will continue.
The President of the Champion Angels Association, Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya and the President of the Turkish Cypriot Bar Association, Hasan Esendağlı, made statements following the announcement of the interim decision.
The President of the Champion Angels Association, Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya, spoke about the interim decision made during the fourth hearing of the Isias Hotel case in Adıyaman.
Karakaya stated that they were in Adıyaman in the pursuit of justice for the Champion Angels and the tour guides, saying, “Justice must come with probable intent. We believe and know that all the facts will be presented to the court through the third expert report.”
“Our children will save Türkiye’s future. We are fighting to ensure that such incidents never happen again. We will be here again on December 3. We will do what is necessary for justice” she added.
The President of the Turkish Cypriot Bar Association, Hasan Esendağlı, also made a statement regarding the interim decision in the Isias Hotel trial.
Esendağlı noted that the court’s decision was in line with their expectations, and with the expert reports from Izmir 9 Eylül University being added to the case file, the substantive hearings will now commence.
Stressing that the court had stated the expert report would be entered into the case file within a week to ten days, he reminded that the defence lawyers’ persistent requests for the defendants’ release had been rejected.
Esendağlı reiterated that the trial would move forward with substantive hearings once the expert reports from 9 Eylül University were included in the file.
