Major General Osman Aytaç, who was appointed as the Head of Supervision and Evaluation of the Land Forces Command as a result of the Supreme Military Council meeting held in Tüerkiye, is carrying out farewell visits.

Major General Aytaç visited President Ersin Tatar and Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre.

Delivering a speech while receiving the Major General, President Ersin Tatar stated that Major General Aytaç performed important duties in his one year in office.

Stating that they has discussed with Major General Aytaç that a negotiations process in Cyprus cannot start without the acceptance of a two-state policy, sovereign equality and equal international status, President Tatar said, “We made decisions together at various meetings to further strengthen the right and will of our people to self-governance; we benefited from your experience. On behalf of myself and the TRNC, I would like to thank you. We will not forget your services here.”

President Tatar also wished Major General Osman Aytaç success in his new position.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre while receiving Major General Osman Aytaç thanked him for his services and wished him success at his new post.
