The Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Metin Feyzioğlu has announced the launch of new infrastructure projects that will contribute to the development of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Feyzioğlu who was speaking on BRT on Tuesday morning, said the first move will be to complete the Lefkoşa ring road.
During the program, Feyzioğlu commemorated the earthquake victims, especially those who lost their lives in the earthquake in 2023, which claimed the lives of over 50,000 people.
He pointed out that Turkish Cypriot citizens also lost their lives in the earthquake, stating, “We closely follow the trial of the perpetrators of our angels, and our Minister of Justice is also following it.”
Ambassador Feyzioğlu mentioned that numerous projects were carried out in 2023, and he emphasized that efforts were underway to address issues related to highways.
“We are about to complete all expropriation. The intersection will be finished. Those who want to go to Girne will not have to turn to Gönyeli. That road becomes meaningless without the intersection. The remaining issues will be completed in a short time,” the Turkish ambassador said.
